That's unfortunate that the free players won't get to play anymore. Will consider buying the game on Steam though, 100 percent. Love this game.

Why is the game 1GB on iPhones and computers, but 800MB on Android
The game isn't available for iPhone. It's 1gb on PC and 800mb on Android because the PC version has 4k images and videos whereas the mobile is only 1080p to help with performance and storage size.
