You are a traveling businessman with an affinity for coffee. You travel to Jade City for a meeting, but first, check out a local coffee shop called Cafe Estro. Inside, you meet a lovely barista named Hazel. The two have an instant connection, but you can't help but wonder why such a good coffee shop has so few customers.
You and Hazel grow close, and you discover that this girl is actually... a femboy?
Hazelnut Latte is about helping out a struggling cafe while discovering things about yourself and forming relationships with the boys and girls in Jade City.
This game is about feminine boys, transgender boys, transgender girls, and non-binary people. Gender lines will be blurred and crossed in Jade City.

im having trouble even launching the game, i bought the 14.2 on patreon, and it wont load up properly, itll just be a blank white loading screen saying not responding, pls help

im on pc, i bought the $3 patreon thing for the 14.2 version and went through the process of reinstalling it 4 times now and whenever i load it up i get a white blank screen and the application called Hazelnut latte (not responding)

i just upodated my drivers and relaunched it, nothing worked and then reinstalled it and still nothing worked, and at this point im at a lose cause i really like this game cause its also helping me understand my own sexuality while recovering from surgery
Yeah you can try looking up troubleshooting steps about Renpy games not responding and having a white screen.
From my end, you're the only user who has reported this problem. I'll try to boot up my copy later and see if it happens to me too.

The game's story is very rooted in the main character not being a femboy and being a cis guy who is discovering his sexuality.
To make the main character anything else would be such a massive rewrite I'd be making a different game at that point.

Just letting out some small hopes here, but I think a post-op and more petite trans woman dating option would be really good.
When I thought more about this, I understood that it borderline leans more into heteronormativity/cisnormativity than what the game is obviously going for, but there is little to no inclusion for us out there in these types of games and I would love to see someone who reflects a little bit more of me.
It could be a way to educate people on things post-op trans women deal with like dilating, she could be insecure about her surgery scars, etc.
Its not a bad idea and something i already have in mind! If i think of a good character ill add them.
I'd agree with having a post-op transwoman as that's not seen very often, but I'd kind of like to see her not being petite. So often transwoman are portrayed as looking very feminine and the only times they are shown as having masculine features is when it's used as an insult.
I think it would be nice to have a transwoman who still retains some of the masculine bone structure, yet is still shown as a woman. Not every transwoman can 'pass' successfully no matter how hard they try, and some positive representation of that would be nice. You don't have to 'pass' to still be a woman.
We already have a trans woman character in the game who is not petite though is my issue with that.
Petite maybe doesn't even have to be the right word here, just smaller breasts that you would see more commonly with someone who has only been on HRT for a few years and isn't like 6ft tall would be nice lol. Vera is a great character, but it's a lot harder to see myself in her for sure.
Obviously we are not even remotely entitled to any of this, but it's nice to discuss and hope for things at least.

Not to mention, Ash Lee and Dani Tea have been in the game for a while now. While not "characters" they are both relatively petite trans women.

I think I reached chapter 4 and it tells me to wait for something to happen, but I have to wait. I think I got a message from the developer saying that since I reached the end, if I had enough money I could go to Notos to spend it, but in missions it still says "wait for something to happen," but I wait and wait and wait, and nothing happens.

How do I know if I've reached the end of the content?
Because, I don't see anything happening, but I can't advance in the story.
If you got the end of content message, you're likely all caught up. If you're playing v0.14.2 it should have told you to go to sleep and then you would have gotten the end of content pop up.

I'd like to know if the game's owner will ever release a Brazilian Portuguese version. I really enjoy games in this style, but I'm not a very good translator, so I've lost the desire to play.

Yes, over a year ago I made a post announcing that there would be no new releases here until the game went early access, but then Itch made it so lewd devs cant make money here so this is just a big sign post to Patreon.
Dave is not a main love interest because he does not have much going on as a character. He's just a loser who is into the player and took to long to shoot his shot.
Vera, however, has a ton of room to grow and explore as a character. She has way more depth.
Besides, if everyone got the time and attention the main love interests will get, ill never finish this game.

Yeah the cis male MC is so baked into the DNA of the story I'm trying to tell, that it would feel disengenous to allow players to be fem and not cater to how being fem would change the story.
Especially now that we're restarting in Unity, I am leaning into that even harder

One question, do you already have the story finished or are you making it up as you go along From the game and what year do you think you'll finish the game?
That's two questions, but I'll answer :D
The whole game is not written. For context, we just finished episode 6, and the game's total word count is currently 144,394. For context, that's longer than Return of the King. So it's going to take me a while to write all the episodes I have planned —24 in total. So while it's not written, a lot of it is planned, so I roughly know where we're going with an end goal in mind.
As for what year do I think the game will be finished? I don't want to give an exact year, because then that will become the thing people expect to happen lol. But it will take years to finish. It's a huge game with lots to do.
